Our Mission Statement

Camelot’s mission is to be of service to the population of Staten Island as well as the other boroughs of New York City, whose lives has been impacted upon by substance abuse and alcoholism addiction.

Our Philosophy

The Camelot Counseling Center is a place where people come to help themselves. This is done by assisting them to recognize their individual qualities and potentialities.

The goal of Camelot is to help people become independent, responsible individuals.  We feel this goal can best be obtained through a strong spirit of cooperation, mutual trust, openness and honesty with peers and ourselves.

Camelot is a family whose love and concern extends to all its clients.  In the effort to build a sense of pride as a family, we will always be aware of each other’s differences and similarities, likes and dislikes strengths and weaknesses, and above all, the right of each person to his individuality and self respect.

Those who are willing to share in the mutual respect and concern of Camelot, and who truly wish to grow in the caring environment, will receive and enjoy many benefits for themselves.

We live in a very demanding society, which is sometimes in conflict with our own values, to obtain our rightful place within this society, to learn to work within its structure and change it for the better.
